Dick Scott, President and Chief Planning Officer

Responsibilities: Client/agency management issues. High involvement in planning process. Manages all agency resource allocation. 34 years of experience.

Dick began his advertising career after graduating from college and serving his country in the United States Army in 1969. One of Dick's strengths is helping companies deal with quick growth and managing the marketing process. His frequent industry lectures have addressed topics such as "New Product Introductions - The Highs and Lows," "Is a Global Introduction in Your Future?" and "Protecting Your Brand From Foreign Competition" to name only a few.

He understands that because every situation is unique, every brand or company carries its own personality. For this reason, he approaches the strategic evaluation process from a fact-based perspective as well as a competitor's perspective (where is it coming from tomorrow? What are the implications?).

Active in the advertising industry at the local, regional and national level, Dick served as past President of the Richmond Advertising Club and was recently named "Ad Person of the Year". A proven leader, he is a founder and president of the Virginia Advertising Coalition. Nationally, he is an active member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and he belongs to the International Advertising Association whose membership roster includes agencies in more than 20 countries.

Dick has in-depth experience in the healthcare, hospitality, retail services, utilities and consumer packaged goods categories.
